How to Enter

Now you’ve read our magazine you’ll need to know how to be in it!

We can’t wait to receive your recipes, but we want to make sure you and your food look their best. Here are a few tips that might help…

Let’s start with your camera. Ideally use a digital camera. Please make sure the quality is set to high. To do this, you need to set your camera to the largest size, this is normally called L (large) or ‘fine’ in the set-up menu. Phone cameras are OK, but they need to be at least 2 megapixels. Smartphones are better.

Make your dish a winner!

  • Keep the background as clean as possible.
  • Get up close up to get a good shot but keep all of the dish in the frame, shoot no closer than 30cm/12in from the dish, and allow the camera time to focus.
  • Try it in natural daylight and with the flash.
  • Shoot from different angles — overhead or from the side.

Look your best!

When you send us a head-shot of yourself it needs to be a close-up.

Cropping you out of a group shot will make you all grainy and we want you looking your best!

Once you have your pictures sorted, all you need to do is enter your recipe!

Each recipe published will receive £25 and remember; the recipe voted the best by the readers in each issue will win £500 cash!
